venom is an over priced POS kit.

NX, NOS, Zex are cheaper and good kits. I personally had an NX kit and loved it.

Timing retard should be done with an msd module or msd digital 6+ so when your off the bottle your throttle response isnt dog slow cuz of the retard.

just turbo it, you'll be hapier in the long run and you'll spend about the same after refilling the bottle over and over

It all depends on how much nitrous you are planning on running. With proper timing retard you should be able to get away without running octane booster (or race fuel) on a 75hp tune with no problems. I can step you into a complete single nozzle wet system for around $450 if interested. That should give ya a few hundred bottle fills before ya equal the price of a turbo kit

i hear venom is good if your going over 100 shot, since its monitored by a computer, it wont let your **** blow. but since u got the kit already, its all good. if its a stock b16a, id say it can handle 80 shot safely... but if u wanna try 100 shot, it might be ok on the venom system... try it out and let us know how it goes.

well with just an intake and a 30 shot i ran 14.9 bogging off the line then spinning all of second gear! so i think with this kit my car should be in the low fourteens

I don't know if this is why everyone else doesn't like Venom but this is why I don't. They are an overcomplication of a very simple concept. There is no need for magic boxes, computers, controllers, or any other electronics (aside from a few exceptions that are not relevant here) on a nitrous system if the system and the vehicle are setup properly. Everyone loves the "safety" of fuel cutoff switches, and magic boxes like Venom sells, it sounds like a great idea right? But why would the fuel pressure on a pass EVER drop substantially without the pump dying and supplying no fuel? If the pump simply dies, so does the engine. For catastrophic damage to occur you are going to need the fuel supply to drop substantially, but not completely.

So this is my question to you guys is this: On a properly setup vehicle, why do you NEED these devices?

piece of mind. i spend thousands of dollars on my motor, i want the failsafe that if god comes down and makes my new fuel pump loose pressure substantially all the sudden. that it will not lead to the destruction of my investment. this is just like spending the extra money on a msd ignition with rev limit, and buying a rpm window switch.. if i spend the same ammount of even 100 dollars more and get that piece of mind. it is completly worth it to me. ( i think, because i haven't actually purchased it yet.)

you can hook up a dry zex kit with a fpss and have the same results as a venom kit but without the cool displays and whatnot.

i am wet kit biased too but both are safe if used properly. i ran a wet nx kit for like 2 yrs, finally sold all of it and slowly putting together a turbo setup.
