im planning on running a little nitrous on my 95 cx hatch with b16 with intake and headers, everything else stock. What kit should i run, any suggestions. also i herd zex is the simple kit. how does it work, like when time to run the nitrous. i dont plan on going anything over 75 shot, i only want it for when going to the track. thanks.

Hey i ran 125 shot to my b16a2 99-00 swap i had with stock internals. I ran it only on weekends also for your question I would go with Zex (if your cheap) but i perfer Nitrous Express or NOS Direct port system.
i really like Nitrous express wet kit, you could do a 70 shot with timing retarded 2 degrees, colder plugs and premium fuel, dont spray under 3k rpms and dont hit rev limiter while spraying!!!!
i hate ZEX

my setup is as follows:
99 civic SI I/H/E
Stock internals
NX EFI Wet Kit/50-75 shot
Genx upgrades
MSD Digi6+ w/Cap/coil
NGK plugs/wires
MSD window switch...saved my 5 times

Yeah but who's going to listen to someone who's been a member for 12 days and has 21 posts. Zex is one of the best kits out there for the price. Read the info I posted in this thread. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=502193

ZEX dry kit is definately better than a NOS dry kit. If you're going to go NOS or NX spend the extra money for the wet kit, if not ZEX all the way. Easier to install, and the kit is more complete than the NOS.
i say go with a NX wet kit.
buddy had both, zex and NX and he liked the NX
I'm running the Noszle kit by NOS and I really like that kit, but wouldn't reccomend on a stock motor.

thanks guys really appreciate it. any info on how the zex kit works. i like it cause of the simple setup up. price is not a prob for me as i can get nx for about 300 as well as the zex for the same price. i just was thinking more zex as it looks easy for me to install.
How it works is simple...
Install a nozzle into your air intake. Nitrous connects to the master 'brain', as well as fuel return. As the nitrous passes through the brain, it pressures on a diaphragm touching the fuel return line, so the line is compressed so less fuel can pass through the return line. Hence, higher fuel pressures, hence, more fuel. The larger the hit, the more the line is compressed and the more fuel you get. The same goes for an emptying bottle - as the nitrous runs out, the line is compressed less so you get less fuel. Pretty simple IMO.

I'm running VENNOM 1000 Very happy with the performance Easy installation. Turn it on and stomp on the GAS. Makes the 1.7 L in my CIVIC eats Mustang GTs. Prelude SI, Hybrid B18Cs, CIVIC SI. BMW 530I. I'm very happy with it. Many may disagree but they don't own one.

Well to all of you i aint a newb i have been on this website for almost a year. I have been using Nitrous Systems for 2 years now. as long as u know how to use NOS the proper way u can use 150 Shot on stock engine. But i do not recommend it unless your know how to use NOS..
I was going to do a zex kit, in fact i bought one until i read about the NXL kit from nitrous express......Check it out....the only draw back is that it retails for $1280....but you can find it cheaper, I have...

thanks guys, really appreciate it, what u guys think ill run with a 55 shot of zex, i got 95 cx, aem short ram intake, dc 4-1 headers, and 2 1/4 piping. full interior.
I mounted my kit in the passanger footwell area up underneath a little bit....very stealth. No one knows you have a kit if you plum the nitrous on the underside of the intake and cover every hose with flex loom

Thats exactly where I mounted mine
, its like the perfect location.
