I was reading the ET times and set ups on Prelude Online and noticed most of the people running 60/65 shots were not running with crane or msd ignition systems. How safe would it be to run a 65 shot with out retarding your timing and just using the one step colder plugs?
I currently am running on a zex kit with a 55 shot and im wanting to put the 65 shot in but not sure if its safe etc... I know that zex kits dont yield as much power as the NOS or NX kits so should I be ok with a 65 shot on the zex?
Thanks in advance.

Why not just twist your distributor to retard the timing? The Zex kit recommends 2 deg of ignition retard to run the 65 shot.
