also i am looking to get tuned on crome, will that be ok or should i get tuned differently? I am going to be ordering a chipped p28 from j-k-tuning. And thinking about either xenocron tuning or jeff evans, xenocron is closer though.

xenocron's told me in the past that Jeff Evans and I could pass for brothers.

I know Chris Harris/xenocron personally, and he's an awesome tuner. All I know about Jeff Evans is from his formidable reputation and tech posts... and Chris Harris' positive words about him. I daresay you could go to either of them and be very happy.

You can pickup a OBD1 GSR shortblock, sell the crank, pistons, rods, and oil cooler for 350, and assuming you got the shortblock for around 400 dollars, that means 50 into the block.

Buy a LS shortblock for 100 bucks, pull the crank, and sell the rods for 50, and block for 50.

50 dollar for your bottom end (of course you need rods/ pistons/ oil pump/ gaskets/ bearings ect) and now you dont have to worry about oil feed lines or any of that junk. When your ready, just bolt the B16 head on and have fun.
Agreed
