B Series Turbo Question
ok, i am wanting to run boost on my teg, and the way i see it is i have a couple different routes i can take...i have a stock LS Motor, and i have a B20 block, the block is in pretty bad shape so i was going to sleeve it anyway so im going to sleeve the block and im not sure if i should just go ahead and use the ls head, or is there a different head that i should be using. I want it to be a non vtec head

Re: B Series Turbo Question (94_CRVtec)
Why non vtec? As far as non vtec heads that are gonna fit on a b20 I'd say an LS head is the only option. Even then I've never heard of anyone doing it.

Re: B Series Turbo Question (94_CRVtec)
well i guess i could use a vtec head but i just didn't want to deal with all the crap that goes along with it, i dont have experince with it but i hear that when you mix vtec and turbo you can get some problems and i just dont want to have to put up with all that.

Re: B Series Turbo Question (wantboost)
Boost is gonna be fun regardless if you have a vtec head or not.
Generally a vtec head is gonna flow better than a non vtec head. And you will get more power out of it. If you have the money go ahead and slap a vtec head on it. If not it's no big deal. I say if your gonna build your motor including block and head, might as well go for a vtec head.
BTW Wantboost: Your avatar is great

Re: B Series Turbo Question (M.D. Smayler)
VTEC and boost is great, almost like the power band on a Suzuki 250r. Nothing than BAM hold on tight. But you are right boost is great no matter what.

I agree, boost+vtec=love Just don't half *** it and everything will be cool. Hence all the GSR's, Civic's, etc that have boosted vtec.
