Apparnetly this damn thing isn't going to fit without grinding my block. I've got a B16A2 with a rev hard manifold, t3/t4 turbo. Does anyone have a picture of their block that has been ground to fit the turbo?

I thought I was gonna be done by now, but I forgot I might have to do this and wasn't prepared. I killed all my dremel discs already and have no file at the moment

 

Dear god that would take a LONG time with dremel discs. Angle grinders are only like $30 at harbor freight and a worthwhile investment for anyone serious about reducing metal to a fine powder.

 

i second that you can buy a grinder for 20 bucks at home depot.

 

Hey thanks for the advice. I'll pick one of those up. Hopefully Meijer (the only store that will be open tonight when I have a ride) has something decent.

I'm learning a lot on this project. Also spending waaaaaay more money on tools than I had anticipated. Might have been cheaper to have someone else do my install, but I guess gaining more tools and the experience are worth it.

 

YEAH BABY...buy that tool that you'll probably never ever use again and shave away that engine block!!

 

If you have a better suggestion, I'd love to hear it, but I'm assuming you don't.

 

my suggestion...go F-MAX...no block grinding, no shroud cutting...life at its simplest!

 

But then you get stuck with a crappy F-max turbo kit ugh.

Just a word of advise...The turbine will be too large to get in and so people have been known to cut their fans to get it to fit...I personally would not advise this...just get yourself a set of FAL fans...they are very light efficient and compact!

 

rather than spending 300 dollars on a fal fan...i just got another ac fan and made a bracket so it took place of the big fan... fit perfect......just another suggestion

 

Or get a Jeg's or Summit fan. $75 and comparing CFMs they flow the most.
