is AR from A T3 and a T3/T04 compareable?
Hi,
sorry for that stupid question but i want to go for sure...
if i have a T3 Turbo with a given turbine AR... let's say 0.48
and a T3/T04E with a turbine AR of 0.48...
can i expect from this that the turbine is exact the same? or is there a difference?
Thanks
Malte.

Re: is AR from A T3 and a T3/T04 compareable? (mrx)
no.
They both use a T3 style turbine but the straight t3 usually has a std or stg1 one turbine. A hybrid usually has a stg 3 or 5 wheel.
The compressors are totally different too so the A/R could be the same but one could make 280 whp and the other 580.

the thing with the turbine wheel is clear... but normaly (i know there are both, compressor and turbine AR) the turbine AR is mentioned when talking about ARs so the compressor should make no difference for the turbine ar between a T3 and a T3/04 or?!?
that it is possible to make more power with a hybrid is clear... would be bad if not ;-)
the question was only about the turbine configuration... but when the wheel is a different then the effect would be different... thats true... so as you wrote... short its not compareable...
thanks...
