well here's another oil drain question but its not "is this to low", all of the tapped pan I see have the bung welded in at a 90* angle, why is that. I was trying to get an idea of were to weld the bung on when I got the idea of putting it in the pan at an angle such as 65*-75* this picture will show what im talking about

It might hurt access to the oil pan hardware, but as long as you can still get to those I don't see a problem with it.

 

Yeah just make sure you can get to all the bolts that hold the pan on and you should be golden.
