Default dent in oil pan

I just had a chance to inspect the bottom of the oil pan on my new motor and theres a dent in the bottom. It's not that deep though, probably about 1/2", and there's definately no cracks or holes anywhere on the pan. Is this going to be a problem? I don't know exactly where the pick up sits in the pan, so I want to make sure its cool. I really don't want to replace the pan yet.
