Anyone using an AEM 3.5 Bar map sensor?
Here is my setup:
Full-Race Prostreet Manifold
3 inch DP
Tial BOV
Tial 44mm Wastegate
SC6152e .63a/r
Precision 1000cc Injectors
Precision Medium IC
Edelbrock Victor X Intake Manifold
2.5inch IC pipes
Stock GSR TB
AEM 3.5bar map sensor
Competition Clutch Twin Disc
Stock Block/Head with ARP head studs
When I finally get everything on the car, I'm going to get it tuned by Jeff Evans using Neptune. I'm just going to run low boost ~10psi until I can afford to get a sleeved block then up the boost to take advantage of the 3.5 bar map sensor. Now I know that Neptune can handle up to a 5 bar map sensor, but I see a lot of people that run 30+ psi with just a normal GM 3bar sensor. Should I have just gotten a 3 bar?
Also, how does the 3.5 do on low boost settings? I had some concerns with using that map with my 1000cc injectors with low boost. Any input?

Considering that the 3 bar map sensor only reads up to about 29.4 psi, it would not be a good idea to run 30+ psi when using it..

Exactly my point, but I see people doing it...

I don't understand your question or problem? Why would the sensor not do good on low boost? Just because it can read 3.5 bar does not mean it will have trouble reading 10psi. You just won't have as much resolution on your map with the higher the map sensor you go with.
