Default Anyone use a cheap ebay intake for a charge pipe?

I see a lot of cold air intakes on ebay going for around $50 or so, anyone tried using them as a charge pipe? They are supposedly mandrel bent aluminum, but I'm not sure if they come in a 2.25" diameter... Seems pretty cheap and easy to cut up and fit, plus I could use the aluminum bov flange Maxrev sent me .

those pipes are usually thinner than you would want for I/C piping. Just get a section of thick aluminum for that one spot and your good to go.

Now using one for the filter to the turbo is cool.
