planning charge pipe layout
when doing your own charge pipes, what do you use to make a mock-up of the layout? flex pipe? stiff wire? do you have any tips or tricks to share?

Re: planning charge pipe layout
I buy multiple ebay universal pipe kits, then just use the actual pipes and eyeballs and measuring tape to mock everything up, cutting and welding together as I go. most cars I've done only needed 2 or 3 welds, not including welding the BOV flange on.
you always want at least one coupler between the turbo and FMIC, and at least one coupler between the FMIC and the TB (obviously excluding the two on each side needed to hold the pipes to those actual parts). having this coupler in the middle allows for flex and movement for when the engine moves around, which it WILL do, and prevents things from tearing/bending/breaking.
