ABS sensors would kick ***!
But then again, the AEM just replaces the ECU...it has nothing to do with the ABS sensors...That's a totally different computer that controlls that alltogther!

Hmmm, time for someone to make a new product! :D

You are correct, but you would only be using the signal from the wheel sensors going to the computer of the ABS. Its kinda like a piggy back off of the ABS compter.

Thats funny, a stand alone that is a piggy back. Oxymoron..hehe

The only problem with speed based boost is that if you get wheel spin you suddenly end up running 25psi in 2nd gear. I guess with slicks this isnt a huge issue but on street tires it is.

I spoke to john(aem) one time about doing a gear based setup but he said it would require additonal sensors, still doable though. I opted to control my boost with my blitz instead of the ecu but it uses the stock speed sensor also.

I guess the thing to do would be mount the speed sensor on the back wheels.

AVC-R does gear based boost easily by comparing VSS and engine RPM...

WOW CRAZY. mine stick perfectly fine. maybe its the wieght, what u running for suspension?
It's in a CRX..so quite a bit lighter. Tien HA suspension...running about in the middle. you on 15 inch rims? I am.

ahh i see where you're coming from.

i plan on just adjusting the speed vs boost table to the limit of traction. boost vs gear will not allow you to optimize wheel torque since you can easily have varying traction limits (read: varying boost level and still have traction) at different parts of each gear.

anyway you can always theoretically run more boost at the top of each gear than at the bottom, thanks to greater aerodynamic drag. this will be more noticable in 3rd and higher gear (and the cooresponding vehicle speed).

i guess the AVC-R is simpler, but not optimal.
