Anyone with tdo5 (14b) turbo experience
The turbo is off a talon.
I am trying to place all my IC piping and was wondering if i take the coupler from in between the compressor housing off, can I rotate the housing around to were i need it to point ?

I ran one on my b16a2 for some time..
9psi was 200whp....
You cannot clock those do to the internal gate...weld it shut and get an external gate and all is good...

you can clock the cold side if you want.
there are pleanty of DSMers who do it with their 14b-16g's to get the outlet to face down
the only problem is making a bracket so the stock wastgate will still function properly.
you should be able to find a how to somewhere online tho.

I believe you need to knock off a small locating pin (with a chisel or something of the like) in order to clock the turbo, when the housings are separated. If you point the compressor housing down (at least on the driver's side), you should be able to mount the same wastegate bracket on the opposite side of the housing using one of the other holes, provided that you cut one of the mounting tabs on the bracket off for clearance to the block, and only use one mounting hole. If you go ahead and try it you'll probably see what I'm talking about. It isn't too bad. Just make sure there's tension on the actuator rod so the flap is closed in the absence of boost. Good luck.
