Anyone got 2 Eagle rods for a B18C? I done screwed up...
I know this prolly need to go in the classifieds, but I'm hurting here, and I know bunch of you all build motors pretty regularly.
I f'ed up and misread the Eagle torquing instructions, and over tightened 2 of my rods (the second one actually stripped out, which is how i knew something was very wrong).
Anyway, do any of you guys have some virgin, or otherwise perfect Eagle Rods for a GS-R (mine were brand new )? I'd be willing to shell out decent money for them, and would need them FedEx'ed (or equivelent) since my only transportation is waiting on this...
Measure twice, er thrice, tighten once...

No, not my first motor, but its been a little while, and have a lot on my mind (and all of this doesn't help...).
The Eagle torquing instructions are a little ambiguous, and I just mis-read the torque spec. I did them for 7/16" 2000's, with a 7/16" head, instead of 3/8" 2000's with a 7/16" head.
Seemed awfully high when I read it so I checked it, and it was right, just for the wrong sized bolt...

Re: (b16sedan)
Yeah, I saw that, but I was hoping to not have to buy brand new, from a dealer, if I could help it. Like if someone hade 3 out of 4 b/c the spun a rod bearing or similar...

We'll I don't have them in front of me right now, but I am pretty sure the bolts are tapped into the rod directly, and do not use nuts on the upper end. The bolts actually looked pretty pristine, but I know something got tweaked bad, because the torque actually drop, like the rod threads were stripping out...
Since I am planning on spinning this to some relatively high rpm, I don't really want to risk it.
Do it right the first time, right? And if you don't do it right, buy new parts...
