Default any way to turn bost down to 0?

i know this sounds weird, but here's the thing...im almost done puttting my engine back together, and dropping it in and i want to just go ahead and put it all in, but i dont want to boost during brake-in...

Ah yes... The OEM boost controller found in every car, force fed or not. What a wonderful device it is.

even with the wastegate fully open its still going to boost 1 or 2 psi. your only way to get COMPLETELY no boost is to disconnect the pipe going to the TB and just put a K&N there, thast your only realy way to have NO boost.

Just take it easy an watch your boost gauge, boost comes on according to how much throttle you give it.......................

I wouldn't disconnect the charge pipe while the turbo is still bolted on the car. This will cause the turbo to overspin and it may be damaged. I say take out the w/g spring for extra safety but just be easy on the gas.

i say you boost it while you break it in, pressure seats the rings, more pressure, better seat.

that's how i break in my engines, and thats how many people i know break theirs in.

(usually on the dyno)

its cool to pressure seat the rings, but i still wouldnt go crazy with the psi for the first lets say 500 miles
