Default Any ideas about this exhaust manifold?

Just to start things off, this car is my 1st Honda-product (06 RSX-S)... I've always been a big Mitsu guy and have had 3 turbo AWD Talons, and an Evo VIII; so I've had lots of turbo experience. I do have a question though...

I would never even think about putting one of the SSAutochrome manifolds on my car b/c I've seen them 1st hand break twice on 2 different cars. I did however run into a couple of Ebay Cast Manifolds and was wondering what peoples thoughts were about those and if you or anyone you know has ever used them?

I know cast is much stronger, less prone to breaking, and can tolerate heat easier. Look at this manifold and please shoot me some constructive criticism.

I'm running a cast manifold that I got off of Ebay and it's been fine. The fitment was fine. I just cleaned out the casting **** on the inside. The power #'s and times are in my sig. It holds 10psi of boost steady to 8400 RPM's with a Tial 38mm WG and Halman MBC. Also, this is on a B series- I don't have any experience with one on a K series, but I hope this helps you out.

I'm sure it will hold up just fine, but my 3 criticisms of the manifold are as follows:

1. Wastegate placement is terrible
2. Its going to choke out up top because of the terrible runner design.
3. Be weary of fitment issues

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

Does anyone have an alternative cast manifold solution? What would you recommend?

Like I said, I've been a Mitsu guy for a logn time, and thats all you have to do is bolt a new turbo up to the stock manifold and your good until about 500whp, then it's time to upgrade the manifold... lol.

If you want to build a quality setup for your RSX, look into some kind of tubular manifold. There are many companies that make good parts for your chassis and engine.

What kind of power are you hoping to make?? Stock RSX blocks have made well into the 600whp range (on race gas) so dont think you have to cut yourself off at 250whp or something...

not sure if its available for k series... but I have nothing but good things to say about the cast stainless inline pro manifold for the b series (pump gas #'s in sig). Good luck!

Wouldn't that be far from possible on a stock bottom end though? I don't plan on building her for a while. It's got 12k original miles on the car and I just want boost for now. Down the road, I'll build her and go big. As far as I know though, the 06 Type-S runs 11.0:1 compression ratio though, right? That being the case, with stock internals, I can probably only run 6-8psi I would think, right?
