Default Alcohol injection kits

Anyone done this? Apparently GRand Nationals have been doing this for a while to obtain higher boost levels. Its like a higher octane fuel (110) but cheaper because you still use pump gas..only comes on at a predesignated boost point.

Tell me what you guys think after reading this..looks promising.

No because the alcohol is a fuel and water is just well umm water..
Water injection kits do not give power they reduce knock or detonation to allow for higher boost levels

You can use water injection kits to run alcohol, simply fill the resevior with alochol instead of water...no biggie. Some of the water pumps cant take the alky mixture, but i know that both the spearco kit and aquamist kit can run alky mixture no problem. The best is to run 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, this allows for a mixed benefits from both of the elements. Remember denatured alcohol only, as well as distilled water!

hmm...its relatively inexpensive but the drawback is...if you run out of the alcohol or alcohol/water mixture then you can ruin parts..doh!

Just shows to go you, you should always carry a half gallon of Vodka in your car at all times (80 proof = 40 % alcohol 60% water, 100 proof = 50% alcohol 50% water) in case you run out of juice for your alky injection system

reading further about alcohol....use denatured alcohol which is ethanol mixed in with little methanol. Ethanol is ok to drink...cant drink methanol.

For the most octane boost use pure methanol. It has the highest octane value of all the alcohol's you can use. I just the denatured alcohol with water (50/50 mixture) when i daily drive. I run pure methanol at the strip with some 110 octane, i never get any knock whatsoever.

Quick fact about methanol, its carcinogenic so try and stay away from the stuff. The chemical company i buy it from in town has all these skull and cross bones all over the thing warning of its dangers. That is another reason that i only put it in when i run at the strip.
