Default Air to Air or Liquid to air intercooler

My friend needs help decidingwich to go with for his build up.What are the pros and cons to either one of these intercoolers. Thanks

Well first you have to look at what your main purpose for this setup ie. drag race, or street.

Benifits of a air to water are incresed efficancy, a typical air:water gets around 85% eff. where air:air gets like 70%

Incresed eff. means colder air means more power. With air to water you can have the water tank filled with Ice water and this obviously will produce much colder air temps than ambiant air.

downsides are incresed cost, a usual air to water intercooler costs about the same as acompariable air to air. Plus you need a water pump, hoses, water tank.

Air to air will give you less efficiancy but there is no messing with filling water tanks and ice, no pumps or hoses to run.

Air to Air is deffinitly the way to go for A street car but drag race it would be good to run a air to water as this would give you the most power.
