Default Let's talk about intercoolers: air to water vs air to air...

A friend of mine runs http://www.928supermodel.com and has been trying to get me to switch from my front mount intercooler to a laminova air to water intercooler.....

How can I compare iat efficiency between the two?

Is there anything online that compares charge air temperature?

The charge air temps become a good amount lower when you're doing something like drag racing where you can put ice water in the resevoir, and they're basically the same on the street where you just run normal water in it. Only thing is the air/water is going to be heavier due to the additional components, so you gotta decide if that's right for your car. IMO, if it's a street car stick to an air-to-air setup.

I would agree... street air to air drag air to water.
