ahhh...good'ol CLEANING DUSTER put to good use
Last weekend my buddy and i hit up the tracks. for some odd reason he stopped at OFFICE DEPOT the day before and bought a whole pack of Cleaning Duster...that stuff that comes in a spray can to blow stuff out of your key boards, etc.
well i didn't know that he had that stuff until we got to the tracks and he busted out one of those cans. i asked him what the hell he was doing...and he told me straight and simple, "I'm freezing my Intercooler". I didn't believe him until i went to where he was (in front of the car) and he started to spray the stuff with the can held upside down. it was shooting out some sort of liquid(liquid CO2?) that froze when it hit the intercooler. after using one can...he busted out the TEMP GUN (which he stole from work) and it read -7*C !!! right before he staged i used the temp gun again(since i wasn't running) on the intercooler and it read -2*C. he was able to run only a 13.2 on street tires @107mph.
anyway, i figured i'd share this with my fellow H-Techers since it's simple, cheap, and effective for those running during the hot summer days. i think he got them for like $1.23 a can or something.

sounds like a good idea, especially if the cans are that cheap. i've also heard of people spraying down their intercoolers with fire extinguishers, but i've never personally done it, so i dont know if it really works or not. peas

Re: (Oyvind Ryeng)
yeah , u can get a co2 tank for a pb gun with an on off valve for like 25bucks , then u can get it fill for 2-3bucks if you were planning on doing this a lot. the duster stuff is like 6bucks a pop.

its not co2, I was playing w/ some earlier last week. Diflouro-something I think. You can also use liquid propane and other things used to get gum out of carpet and such. Also effective at freezing things

I use it on the tiny piles when one of my ferrets has an accident and forgets where the litter pans are.
freezes the poo so there's no mess when you pick it up!
