Default afc hack

does anybody know the proper way to set up the afc "hack", I got an afc from awhile back and wanna try it out. done some researching and some saying it has a bad timing curve, some say they wire throttle wire to map wire, some say they like and some say it fuc*ed up motor.

yes, i've read that before, showing the ignition curve. what I want to know is numbers used on the afc. more interested on the wiring the tps wire to the map wire method. some sites stated people using that set-up, but they didn't explain the settings of the afc. thanks for the link though

I agree, if its not something that you feel you can teach yourself or feel comfortable you really shouldnt bother with it. there is also way better and cheaper ways to correctly manage your fuel.

I already had an afc just lying around so I though I would put it to use. maybe I'll just sell it to somebody

Just wire it up and correct however much you need via wideband, and boost as much as your stock map sensor can take, retard distributor 2-3 degrees and you should be "okay" Running as much boost your map can take will bring you clsoer to the proper IGN timing tables. about 1-2 degrees off.
