AEM FPR DIAPHRAM DESIGN CHANGE??
I recently purchased a FPR diaphram b/c my old diaprham seemed to have a very slow leak when I hooked it up to a vaccum pump, I just picked up the new one and the design is much different, instead of there being a flat half sphere piece there is a large ballbearing, with no spring on the back of it unlike the old model. If anyone has seen this or even heard of this Id really appreciate it.

Yes, they changed it. So, you bought the new diaphragm and that's it? If you have the old design, then you need to buy a rebuild kit, which includes new orifices as well.

shitty how much is that gunna run me>? and its really weird I vaccum test the diaphram and it always shows a leak but no fuel (from what I see gets past) could it be such a small leak its only fumes... and I also replaced the old diaphram after fiding out it was the wrong one and now after I shut the car off the Fuel pressure drops to zero instead of chillen like it used to, but I cant locae a leak down in teh fuel system.

Why don't you call AEM and see if they'll exchange the diaphragm since you got the wrong one? I think the rebuild kits are <$40. If there's a vacuum leak, and no fuel is getting past, then the leak is above the diaphragm.

can a small amount of gasket maker on the inside of the FPR fix this, I figure its worth a try and I think it is leaking right near the vaccum plug in... I already orderd an old style diaphram but I hear these are quite problematic and Its not a bad Idea to have it laying around....
