Default aebs sleeves copper O-ringes

Hi
I have a b-series block with aebs sleeves and a copper o-ringed deck. The block already had o-rings installed but i had to pull the head off, and now i need to have new o-rings installed. My question is does anyone know where i can have the new o-rings installed?
I spoke to aebs they can do it but they want $200.
thanks

Any local machine shop SHOULD be able to do it easily. You can do it yourself also not very hard but if you're worried just take it there.

Do it yourself, it is pretty straightforward and easy to do.

Use a pick to start the removal of the old o-ring and gently pull it out by hand.
Installation of the new copper is a bit tricky because it's common to over/underestimate the length needed to go all the way around the circumference of the sleeve without overlapping or not having enough.

Simple algebra will tell you exactly how much you need, but the way most people do it is guess at it till they get it right.

Last step is to tap the copper into the groove and you want to be careful here because copper is a soft metal and bends easily, especially when it's as thin as the o-ring material is. Use the butt end of a rubber handle of something you can grab firmly with your hand (screw driver, hammer, etc.) and GENTLY tap the ring into the groove.

I see your from San Diego too so if you choose not to do it yourself take it to Accurate machine in Lakeside. They are the ones that actually do the sleeving for AEBS. I was charged $100 to have my block O-ringed when they did the sleeving. Give them a call and speak to Milan. 619-443-3935
Heres a pic of my block.

$200.00 to remove the old o-rings and put new o-rings in? Wow. Do it yourself. Read Axle's post a couple above mine. He is exactly right

thanks for all the replies.
i don't want to take it to accurate machine, because milan is a moron and fucked up my main caps when i originally took my motor there.

I will probably try it myself. do you happen to know what kind of copper wire i need to use, and where to purchase it.
thanks

thanks i appreciate he input. that is where i had my sleeves done aswell, but it is actually the guy next door to accurate machine that does the sleeves, and he is really good. unfortunatly i don't have his phone number anymore.

i just dont want to go back there because i was extreamly pissed off at milan (accurate machine) and I kind of ran my mouth at him. And i know if i see him again i will loose my temper and it is not worth they money i will save.

i have to order a head gasket from golden eagle anyway, and i will order the wire at the same time and attempt it myself.

once again thanks for everyones help
