equal length, ability to run 4 inch downpipe. easier access to turbo

theres some advantages BUT most people on honda tech get a top mount so when they pop the hood you see the turbo right there....BLING FACTOR

Yea I was thinkin bout goin with a top mount to for the bling factor but changed my mind for a regular equal length instead. I also didn't need 4", only 3 so yea.

Easy oil drain line without the problems assosciated with low-mounted turbo setups.

Smooth bend at the downpipe without the traditional steep bend to clear PS or AC (if turbine is at driver's side).

Easier to create a tuned length manifold (if R&D is involved) with longer runners.

From my understanding, it has to do with being able to run a bigger turbo and a larger downpipe.

Top mount will net you greater top end power but will take longer to spool up the turbo.

The further distance from exhaust ports give the gases more time to expand

I dont think the pro-am guys have top mounts JUST for the looks ...ALOT of dedicated drag car have nothing to gain by having top mounted manifold just for looks

Why the hell are people keep saying is faster spool, it SLOWER spool but MORE top end power

Because they have the space to work with I didnt mean the cars that have tubular front structures
