Ok guys i've got a quick question for you. Its probably stupid as hell but im going to ask anyways. Im running a T3 for a Saab, these turbos come equiped with the stock adjustable wastegate. A few people have told me that they run 7 to 8lbs stock. Im only wanting to run 4 or 5lbs just to be safe. Only reason is bc the guy tuning my car will be out of town for a month or so and im about to install my kit, so i figured 4 or 5 with a MBC after the tune than i can turn it up.
My question is, the internal wastegate has a thread bar with a lock nut that goes to the wastegate pole on teh turbo. My question is, if i thread it up torwards the turbo wastegate (intake side) will it lower boost or raise boost? If anyone knows please help me out, so that away im safe for a week or so....
Thanks alot

DO NOT BOOST YOUR MOTOR WITHOUT A TUNE!!!!!!!. I don't care if it's only 2 psi that's still 2 psi that can blow your motor. Wait until you can get tuned.
Hopefully no one tells you how to adjust it and you dont boost the car without the tune. Easiest way to figure this one out is WAIT for the tuner, then adjust it each way durring the tunning process and figure it out. ZERO boost until the motor is getting tuned!
4-5psi will make your car SLOWER and will be much more dangerous to the engine at the same time, so why bother? Wait for the tuner, or find another one for the time being.

I plan on waiting for the tuner, i just get impatient. He's coming home sooner than i expected and I just got off the phone with him. So im good to go..
So thanks anyways for all the help...

disconnect the wastegate acutator compeletely!
this will just let the flapper flap around with nothing holding it shut. (shut means all the exhaust goes to the turbine)
but since those internal gates are small if u hammer it, it will still make boost!
