Anyone know of any cheap (like a stock ford/chevy item) vacuum pump that can be added onto a Honda engine for crankcase ventilation?

I am thinking of doing this as well. Initially I thought you had to tap the block right under the cylinders, but apparently you can use the stock PCV location?

 

there are some race cars doing this, but on street cars i believe its yet to be done, which is funny, because its easy HP

 

On car-part.com there is a choice of "vacuum pump" which means it came stock on something...mounting it might be a different story but I'm sure something could be worked out.

 

You can use exhaust flow to create a vacuum to suck out crank case pressures. Then you don't have to deal with the hp loss of a pump driven vacuum, amp needs of an electric one, weight of the pump, installation location and engine bay space. Search for the post where Earl or someone showed their setup... picture links probably don't work any more though since they didn't when I looked at them.

 

I know of this. You can find the needed part from a later model Oldsmobile sedan and I think some Caddy's.
