Default 93 octane

i've been looking into using a mixture to run 93 octane. i found a few different things being said ranging from :

-using a certain octane booster with a specific amount of 92 from pump

-100 octane with 91 or 92

and so on.. locally 92 is on pump. i will switch to e85 in the future but not at this time.

motor details = 81.5 wiseco pistons, 180 psi in each cylinder (dry) hp range is around 450 on neptune.

I'm just looking for some real input here on whats works well from experience. thanks in advance

Are you having issues at your current power level? You should be fine on that pump gas and lower horsepower level. There still isn't enough info on your setup listed to give you any real good advice.

The difference between 92 and 93 octane is so minimal, if 92 is what comes out of the pump, I would just tune for 92. The added cost and effort of constantly having to deal with mixing fuels to get 93 just wouldn't be worth it, IMO.

You should be able to hit 450whp with your setup and 92. If you really wanted the final say ask the guy that "designed" the turbo.

well, i was just looking for input on possible ways to run a more stable pump fuel. next year i plan to switch to e85 but my budget is done for now.

thats why i was wondering about fuel additives or running a 100+92 mix or whatnot. thanks for the replies and feedback. i'll stick to 92 for now.

For every 7 gallons of 92 put one gallon of 100 and the average octane will be 93. multiply 92 times 7, then add 100 and divide by 8 gallons in total and you get 93.

while im not a big fan of it, what about a small shot of meth injector for higher boost levels. it really does extend how far you can take pump gas

it runs out. plus the 400ish you can make on pump gas is more than plenty for a street car. above that , use race gas above that at the track.
