I bought an intercooler for my setup a while back and now im starting to think it might be too tall. Its a 31x9x3 I bought from SpoolinPerformance. Its a nice intercooler and dont plan to cut out all of the plastic of my bumper.

Is anyone else running anything taller then a 8 inch on their DC Integra? What modification did you have to make?

I know I could cut into the cross member, but is that considered safe?

your gonna have to cut the metal bumper support no matter what.......either cut it or remove it completly.

i had to cut it out with a 8" tall intercooler......i think you can "just" squeeze a 6" tall intercooler so a 9" one your deffinatly gonna have to hack the bumper support out and trim the inside of the plastic bumper cover.

Ohh its just the Bumper support behind the styrofoam (sp) ? Its not a cross member?

So is there nothing wrong with cutting it?

26x12x3 cooler on my 96 teg, without even trimming the bumper.

9 inch is a walk in the park.

its not rocket science, just notch your bumper support and recess the cooler into the support, drill some holes, and mount the bitch up.

btw nice car, i have the same one. forrest green gsr w/ tan leather. haha

just take the bumper support out or hack it, this ones 31x12x3 , civic/integra about the same

Here is mine. It is 31 1/2" L x 8" H x 3 1/2" D. I trimmed maybe a 1/4" from the lower part of the bumper support.

Whats the tallest you can fit into a JDM front ended dc2?

BTW whats the point of having a really tall intercooler when the bumper will cover up a large portion of it

i think 12 inches is about as tall as youd ever need to go.
