Default 9.5:1 or 10:1 for no more than 15-16 lbs.??

Im getting a Turbo soon and im aslo rebuilding the block with new pistons rods ect... i want to run about 7-8 lbs. daily driven and maybe 15-16 for race or fun. What piston do you think would suit my needs? 9.5:1 would let me boost a little higher yes, and with that piston i would have to boost slightly higher to make up for HP with the lower CR. This WILL be tuned good with Hondata.

if your gonna have it tuned by a professional tuner that knows his **** and your only gonna run 15psi max..then i say go with the 10:1. but to be safe i'd stick with 9.5:1 jsut incase you have an error while tuning.

So what is the max that you can boost with 10:1? and 9.5:1? I just want to be safe with NO problems going anywhere from 7-16 psi. Maybe even more later on, 18 maybe.. who knows. But the higher CR will make more power with 10:1 at the same amount of boost as the 9.5:1. But like i said... overall the 9.5:1 will be ABLE to make more power by boosting higher.

Would the 10:1 CR setup be able to make as much HP as the 9.5:1? just with less boost? I guess that's the question to ask.

yes, higher compression will always make more power than lower. it will take less boost to reach your hp goal with a higher compression. but you may sacrifice some safety for the extra power.
