86mm bore...high boost?

Default 86mm bore...high boost?

how much boost do you think an 86mm bore b18c can handle?.......do you guys think it will hold together for at least 450+ wheel horsepower.....jus wanted to know because dont want to tow my car from az to vegas jus to blow up at 300 horsepower on the dyno then have to tow it back change engine and tow back to vegas to get tuned again....personally never had any experiance with this big of a bore engine from jus looking at the block i know im going to have headgasket problems but im jus hoping for the best.....anyone with big bore blocks any advice will be appriciated.....thanx

thats quite big for a b18c1 motor.. when my motor was sleeved by AEBS my builder told me to stick w/ 84mm incase something ever does happen to the sleeve or piston that way i have room to go higher like 84.5 or 85mm

im not sayin not to do it.. just sayin thats what ive been told before

86 mill is pretty big. but the bigger the better.

i think theres a couple guys with 85mm'ish bore on b16's that run high boost...ide say it would be ok. just make sure the tune is dead on..

edit: also, isnt it gonna be a little more tricky to get the HG to seal good with that big of a bore

I had an 85mm ge block, and it needed to be bored to the next size, so i just decided to sell it and start over. The cylinder walls looked alright, but the area between the cylinders looked like it was going to be a little thin.
