Default 85mm too big for boost?

This year I have been building a NA b16. I have everything done and all the parts. A good friend of mine has a 500 whp turbo car , and wow i fell in love. Now ive gone soo far with this all motor build and have be thinkin about going to turbo, i would of course change the pistons out and do some things differnet but my worries are the bore, too big?

that might be pushing it a little, most bores are gunna be around 84mm, since the cylinder pressures are of course more with boost. How much power you looking to get, since they are full iron sleeves they should hold a great deal...

I ran my b16 at 85mm for a while and it held up good made 470whp for a while on it. Id say run it, you got nothin to worry about.

IT can work, the main concern is the Sealing of the head gasket.
You have to keep in mind that with 85mm bore, the cylinders are getting close to super thin and with boost, the high cylinder pressures make the this situation more prone to blowing head gaskets.

also, god forbid something goes wrong, and you have to bore it over... ur kinda screwed. then it'd be really thin.

but blowing the head gasket will save the block..
