Default 84mm bore on stock GSR sleeves?

Is it safe to bore out the stock GSR block sleeves to 84mm? I blew pistons ring lands on cyl #2 and the wall is scored from top to bottom and I dont know if a .020" or .5mm overbore will fix it.

What is your experience with this if any?

is it safe to shoot heroin 20 times a day for a year straight and not expect to have withdrawls? 84mm is not .020" son...

did you even read my post? I guess I should have said my inital plan was 81.5mm, but I just need to know if 84mm is safe on this block?

that's a lot of material to remove from sleeves that are already thin. I wouldn't use the block if it needed more than .5 mm honed off.

sigh, I really dont wanna drop $1000 on sleeves and machining. I heard the B20 blocks are garbage for turbo. My best bet is to bring it by the machinist and have him take a look, thanks anyways

I would not call them "garbage", but you definitely have to be careful with them. They will not take the same punishment as your other garden-variaty B-series blocks.
