.040 Over pistons in a stock sleeve GSR
Every honda block we ever built was sleeved... so I never had to worry about this... is it considered a bad idea to do a .040 JE in a stock sleeved B18C? Or is it quite common? I sold a customer some .040 overs for his, but I am considering callin him up and taking them back and ordering him a .020 over if its considered a bad idea... I didnt think much of it cause the .040 over was a "shelf item" so I just went along as assumed it was populary used. What you guys think?
thanks

Have him get the .020 overs or maybe even .010 overs . If something goes wrong you want the room to be able to rebore the block. The additional power from a small overbore like that isn't much anyways.

i would go with the smallest amount of a over bore with or without sleeves. so you have the room if you need it

I've personally seen stock sleeves handle 18+psi
