Default 67/37

I sold my T58 so I could buy something a little better matched to what the rest of the motor/tranny can do. A friend has a new PT67/37 available, I'm not familiar with the 37 turbine wheel. Visually it looks to be maybe between an O and P wheel in Old school Turbonetics terms, is that correct? I'm a bit outdated on my turbo trims, I need to get with the program!

I guess I'd say the hp goal would be ~500hp @ the wheels, the motor is built to take it, the tranny more than likely *should* take it, but it's an automatic and the motor isn't a Honda so I'm only looking to rev it to ~7,500 therefore I'm not looking for power that comes in a 5500rpm.

I know it's not apples to apples, but it's not quite apples to oranges, I'd like to hear some of you expeirienced guys input. Everytime we've thought a turbo was going to be too big in the past, it never was, I'm wondering if this will be the case, or will we finally step over that line?

Thanks in advance.

Justin, the GT37 turbine wheel is almost the same size as the P trim turbine. These gt3767's can put down 700whp. It might be a bit big for your power goal, and boost threshold requirements. It would make big power on your car tho.

Here are the turbine specs:
* GT3767 Turbine
- Exducer - 66.4mm
- Inducer - 72.5mm
- 84 Trim

You have a T4 flange on that nice header of yours dont you. Your only option that will spool faster is a T4 gt35R. That should make 600whp on your 16v.

Regards,
Justin
