450cc Injectors wont fit
I have a d16y8 that i have turbocharged with all the necessary upgrades, including the 450cc injectors. Problem is, the injector bodies are larger (by only a small amount) than the port they are supposed to seat down into. I know about the seal modifications that need to be made, but those will not affect my situation, the metal body will not go down inside the seat where it belongs. I am having strange fuel problems including running rich and low MPG. I think this is because the injectors are not sticking into the plenum far enough so they are not getting a proper dispersion cloud, or spraying right, or whatever you wanna call it...Could it be that i have the wrong injectors???

Re: 450cc Injectors wont fit (themaskdmumbler)
what do they look like, the regular blue top 450cc DSM injector? I've had no problems with the install on my z6 intake manifold before.

what o-rings are you using? i had to swap out a few different sizes before they would seat in my b18 properly. i think i ended up using b16 ones, the b18s were a little too thick.

take a dremel andthe o ring inside the intake manifold and dremel it out until the injector fits in flush...not to loose, not to tight.....Its the easiest thing in the world...easier then installing an intake
