Default 42r turbo question????????????


how many are you running the coolent to the turbo......some people say to run it and some say you dont have to. Im in the process of putting the the motor and turbo together soon and just wanted to get some answers from some of my fellow racers on honda-tech.....................thanks for your help.......

i would say to run it...its there for a reason man.

theres no way i would run without the coolant hooked up.

the coolant is to extend the life of the turbo. and for the most part dont have to turbo time. the turbo cools off very quickly

Ball bearing cores rely on water to cool everything down. If u dont run water, ur gonna down on $$$ very soon.

ok, listen...

coolant lines must be run for one reason and one reason only... the bearings.
garrett uses full stainless bearings which must be cooled down or they will expand and sieze. i talked to garrett's engineers in person about this. if the turbo fails and garrett finds out coolant wasnt run. they wont warranty the turbo
