Default 38mm wastegate good for 600whp

Since my car is down for a rebuild. I was wondering if i should change my tial 38mm with 1 bar. Should i go 44mm or stay with 38mm. I ran 22psi minimum before on my stock engine. So my pump gas will be 22psi and race gas 40psi.. Im wondering if the 38mm will hurt or not

Low boost.. Big turbo = Big wastegate
High Boost.. Big Turbo = Small wastegate

Reason for... If you run low boost with a big turbo, wastegate works harder.. So it needs to be bigger to prevent creep.

Going to a 44mm wouldnt hurt.

A well placed 38mm Tial will hold a GT35R down to 7 psi no problem. An Inline Pro manifold for instance.

go with the 44mm a GT35R will not flow that much boost it will die out well before 40psi.

Instead of worrying about how much boost you are going to running. You should look at it if you can make 400 on 10lbs of boost or 400 on 21lbs of boost which would be safer and allow the engine to last longer
