Truespeed performance in Cali...their ITR daily drive makes 230 and runs 12.25...daily driven. you have 30 whp on them and .35 of second difference ......

To the OP:
I have seen some big shots on b series, and up to 150 on the k's. With the perfect tune, and everything dead on, the car should make some serious numbers. Id be sure to run at least 110 octane, as it will allow for a good bit of forgiveness, if something is not right

I have seen some big shots on b series, and up to 150 on the k's. With the perfect tune, and everything dead on, the car should make some serious numbers. Id be sure to run at least 110 octane, as it will allow for a good bit of forgiveness, if something is not right

maybe you should state if you are all motor or nitrous, or turbo. because there are people talking about 600+ hp turbo cars street racing, 220 -250 hp nitrous cars, and 260 allmotor whp... god damn

While I won't claim to have any considerable expertise when it comes to nitrous, I would like to offer some additional data for consideration.
A few years ago, the magazine "Car Craft" ran an article in which they decided to see how much nitrous a 350 chevy could swallow before it grenaded. The result ruined some of the engines top end, but didn't ultimately damage it in a way that the writers were expecting. You can find the full article here:

No pre-detonation. No broken rods, pistons, or bottom end. No separating heads. What happened was simply that the kit was putting out more gasses than the engine could inhale. It was like overfilling a glass, everything just started spilling out. The atomized nitrous and fuel collected in a cloud above the carb. One errant spark and it went up in a fireball, ruining the carb and part of the upper intake.
The 350 (5.7 liter) in question was able to inhale just short of 300hp worth of nitrous up around 6500rpm. A 2.0L Honda is a good measure smaller (by a factor of .35), but can run up around 8500rpm or more (a factor of 1.3) and has a greatly improved volumetric efficiency at those higher rpms (I'd bet by about 1.2, possibly more). If we apply these factors to 250 (a reasonably safe shot for a 5.7@6500) we get a result of 136. So it would be reasonable that 136 would be a safe shot on the 2.0@8500. If you make the engine bigger, get it to run faster, or improve its volumetric efficiency, you can then run more nitrous.
But like I said, I'm not an expert. I'm just offering fuel to the fire in the form of data.
Now you know what would be really crazy? If you could put a sensor along the intake tract that would detect an overflow of nitrous and automatically back off the output accordingly. But you'd have to be a mad scientist to do something like that.

The car was originally for boost but i decided to play with nitrous a bit while im collecting parts for the turbo kit. A friend was selling his direct port pro kit so i picked that up on a trade and have been considering going with a 200+ shot (the kit will flow enough nitrous for 400hp i believe) just to see how it would run.
The old timers say you should never spray a larger shot than what the motor makes naturally aspirated. I personally believe that a well built Honda 4 banger can handle more than it makes naturally aspirated. I would think that there is a point where you need to lower the compression and make the engine completely setup for nitrous trying get as much air in and out as possible therefore hurting it's NA power.

i'm doing the same thing my motor is set up for boost but didnt have the money to get the car running on boost right away so i'm throwing on a direct port zex kit. Maybe going to run a 200 shot. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes should be done somewhat soon hopefully.
