There are several in the journal bearing world that can easily help with that power goal and still use the stock motor (considering management of course)
In the GT "R" series
GT28RS (T2 housings can still perform this power level, esp. .86A/R T2)
GT3071R
GT3076R
and larger
Journal Bearing equivalents
T3/T04 - T "Series"
-50 trim
-57trim
-60trim
GT3251
GT3255
GT3147
S256
S258
And tons of other options that would work. Make sure that you understand what/how each of them work for YOUR particular needs.

Its a tab bigger to give you more room to upgrade. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Or you could get something that would fit your exact needs now, but still has room to upgrade. I had a T3/T04E and recently upgraded to a GT3255E from TheShodan....it has been proven on another stock GSR already....full boost by 3200rpm and power through redline, but enough turbo to push 400+whp....
My personal choice for you if you want a fun turbo is the GT3251E

alright..this is a noob *** question..but its better to piece your own turbo setup together..rather than order one..right?

well that depends...if you want to pay a little more and get everything in one big order, then buying a kit is a great idea, but personally i KNOW that i can get it cheaper if i do it myself. Not to mention there is a certain novelty in doing it yourself...plus you can customize it the way you want. If i were to do it over again, i would get a manifold/dp/dump combo and IC piping from PeakBoost, then build the gather the rest of the parts myself...
