Default 3" inlet muffler with silencer option

Does anyone know of a muffler that has a 3" inlet and maybe the same siz outlet that has a silencer that can be added? I've had this 3" exhaust on my car for a week and it's driving me nuts. I have an 18" resonater already so that won't help. I can't imagine how loud it would be without that. I can't hear my freaking radio or my kid in the back seat talking to me. HELP!!!

if you can find any 4" silencer you can prolly make it fit.

Im gunna have the same setup, 3" res. and a magnaflow. You can always get a 3" cat and another resonator. I cannot justify spending tht much to make my car quiet. Function over fashion.

i had a cheap ebay n1 style muffler, it came with a silencer. ran full 3" from turbo with no cat or resonators. pretty low sound with silencer in, but loud as hell when removed. i also saw a cone shaped silencer that supposed to fit inside the pipes, sizes 3" and up i think. the advertisement claimed theres no restriction in flow. I think i saw in summitracing.com. not sure though

Silencers are for pussies. if it's too loud then wear earplugs.

A silencer? Are you going to try and kill somebody with your muffler?

Why do you say that? I really need to do something because it's driving me crazy.

Well I just meant when I think of a silencer, I think of a gun, not a muffler.

Anyways your exhaust shouldn't be that loud at all. I have full 3 inch exhaust with a 22 inch resonator and magnaflow muffler and it's very quiet.

Everyone's definition of quiet is different. I have a greddy PE2 (2.75in) and that exhaust is loud on the freeway pass 75mph. Lucky on long drives I can pop in the silencer

I realize everyone's defintion of loud is different, but EVERY person that has heard my car has said "wow that sounds good and it's really quiet too".

I've got the same thing except with an 18" resonator and I feel like my ears are going to bleed.

If it's too loud get smaller exhaust or put another resonator in there... it's not rocket science.

3" dp, 3" test pipe, 3" thermal = loud as ****

when i first bought my car it had a 3" hedman cat instead of a 3" test pipe...man what a night and day difference. with the cat on it sounded stock, without the cat my car sounds almost like a domestic.
