Default MangaFlow Muffler as a Resonator?

I'm currently running a Apexi N1 exhaust on my car. I like the power and the way this exhaust looks. It's got one of those round tube resonator about 16" long but it's still too loud for me. Since I don't have a cat right now I was wondering if I can just replace my test pipe with this Mangaflow muffler as a resonator. This might be a little long but i can just stretch this up a bit and weld it to my downpipe.

I'm sure you could, but why not just buy a resonator ?

it's a N1 so it'll still be super loud with a regular resonator so i wanna use a big wide one .

this muffler dont have a tip just the muffler is wider then the resnator so it would reduce more sound.

id get one of their "bullet" mufflers. they are round so they will fit your exhaust tunnel. i dont think their normal oval muffler will fit in the exhaust tunnel.

I am using one of their 4" round ones as a presilencer on my rotary. Works pretty well.

I'm using a 18"X6" on my EG but it's a real tight fit, I'd of been better off with a 22"X4". Your best bet is to use the latter in place of the current 16" resonator and get a high flow cat. Magnaflow cats are dead cheap.

That muffler is 8" wide and that will be a very tight fit in the cat location and no chance further down the tunnel. You could run a 10416 at the cat position and then a 10436 down stream.
