3" Apexi WS2 muffler - is it worth the $$$?
I've been on a quest to find a decently quiet, but high-quality muffler for my 3" turbo-back setup. It will consist of a 3" downpipe (already have), 3" Carsound cat, and a 3" KTeller exhaust with one 18" resonator.
I'm trying to decide on which muffler to go with. Either I can get this 3" Magnaflow straight through "Race" muffler for $118 shipped (the design I like - I know, I'm a stunnA):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
Or I can pick up this 3" (80mm inlet) Apexi World Sport II muffler for $185 shipped:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
Is the Apexi WS2 worth the extra money if I'm looking for a quiet exhaust setup, or not?

i just switched from the magnaflow you posted to a vibrant black muffler.
one thing i changed was i made the tip stick out.
it went from an 8/10 in loudness to a 4/10 now!
hope that helps you
also bug me tommorrow... i'll take video of the new muffler since i have a video of the old one

when you deal with just the muffler you must remember that piping has alot to do with the noise and performance. Madrel bends and thicker metal helo with the flow and sound, also a good resonator and cat help aswell. Exhaust cost because of design more than because of material. It is not easy good luck

Re: (igo4bmx)
I would love to see the video, I have the Kteller system with magna flow muffler and 2 14" resonators. Its pretty loud for the daily driver but ive been dealing with it. I would love to see how much one of these mufflers.

Is it really straight through? Any noticable power change?
Also if you don't mind, how much did the muffler cost you?
Thanks!

yeah mine does not sound like that..
I will take video at work tommorrow!
ok here is my exhaust with the magnaflow... you can clearly see (besides running rich) that the muffler is not flush with the bumper, but inset.

the vibrant is not quieter from the outside, however much quieter from the inside of the car.

here are the two mufflers at idle...
sorry no revving yet

It's hard to tell, but the Vibrant is more throaty, and the sound that eminates is not at strong.... if that makes sense
