2) longer, throwing the weight off even more
3) higher center of weight

this doesnt mean hardly anything. They do Alot of things different in japan PERIOD.

For a heads/cam package which includes: FAST 90/90 (ported), UD pulley, TFS heads, custom cam, injectors, tuning and install. This heads/cam setup has proved itself 3 times over to make 500+rwhp naturally aspirated on the stock 346.

I'm not here to argue between the LSx vs 2JZ, just stating on the price of an above-average heads/cam package.

ASE tests dont prove you know anything. just means you can take a test. An in my field (the non general maintanence field) ASE tests dont mean anything. I have seen plenty of ASE cert mechanics that dont know ****.

High school tests? sure, i graduated with a 3.4. College i wasnt so lucky though, i had bigger plans and better interests than college at the time. so if your enrolled in college right now, congrats to you, keep trucking

I am Sales and Promotions Manager and Tech Advisor at MSPi. that is my official title. Charles and james are my techs. Charles is also majority owner. He is my boss.

Now, ever think that they hired me to run the phones, set appts, and do consultations because I KNOW WHAT IM DOING? you dont just pick someone randomly off the street to be the "honda guru". I dont know everything, an i learned alot from DonF, Rocket Motorsports, SMSP, David Hsu, Shagday, RMF, J0hn@hitech, etc etc etc. They have all contributed to my knowledge and i thank them for that.

I'm not claiming I have this big beef or I Hate VTECKidd. I'm saying you're wrong. Sometimes people will be wrong.

I don't see how me telling you, you're wrong is having a big beef or hatred. I got nothing against you.

Oh and yeah i did spin a bearing. I didn't build that motor-you know who I worked for built that motor. I built the next motor that's still in the car do this day-BOOSTED!! As I told you many times before but you always seem to leave that part out.

Hey and also-better me ******* up my own **** and learning from it than always claiming to know and be all and still haven't really learned ****!! I learned so much from my previous employer in good and in bad. But at least I can say that and at least I've learned.

You're right-there are plenty of ASE certified techs that don't know ****-I work w/ them all day everyday. But as people say who hate tests and don't know there are still some very good knowledge based questions on the ASE that will tell you what you do and don't know.

Someone just pulled that off LS1tech. Funny you said custom cam with no specs. I am around the 450whp area and have none of your parts you listed and WAY below your "budget". I have a lot of room to improve.

i think people in this thread have gotten carried away on the things he could be doing with HIS setup HOWEVER its HIS setup, do as you wish.

there are many ways to build a project and last time i checked its by sheer personal prefrence. and its his personal prefrence so why all the hostility?

Anyone can make around 450rwhp with an aggressive cam and bolt-ons. That's not news.

If you think I like to go search on the internet to try to prove a point, you've got the wrong guy. I didn't feel like going into detail of the cam specs on a Honda website that would mean absolutely nothing to the vast majority. Vengeance doesn't advertise the cam specs as they put a lot of R&D into it. Call Vengeance Racing and ask them their specs on the Vindicator cam. Similar to the G5X3 and LS4 cams.

Last I checked, their heads/cam package held the record for highest whp with a stock 346 w/ heads/cam.

We have different budgets. Given that I don't do the labor or tuning myself, it costs as much as they charge, and I'm more than happy to pay it.

I've got tons of room to improve on also. Money is not a limiting factor. I'm going the heads/cam route because that's what I want from a street car. If I decide later on I want 1,000rwhp, I'll buy a KB 2.8L supercharger and a built 427 and go from there. In the meantime, I'll have fun with my overpriced heads/cam package.

400ft lbs @ 3,700RPMs is peak power?

Not everyone posts their numbers? Hooray. I'm happy for them. That shop will have the highest horsepower, stock motor LS6 and never get any business because no one knows about it.

I don't quite understand your fascination with being arguementative, but ok.

He thinks he has accomplished so much in this import industry,but in fact he hasnt done anything for it!!
He feels he needs to put me down because,certain people run faster then me, but in fact MIKE has never raced a event at all. He keeps saying his a premier shop in atlanta, when in fact he works for a shop only. He says a 240 2jz supras is gods gifts to man, but in fact buying a real supra is,not buying a shell for 1000 and throwing in a 8000 swap. Go buy a real supra then come talk to me,not some wanna be supra car!!

I remember now why I stopped coming on Honda Tech. First off, what I see is a shop showing something they are doing for a customer. Any discussion of the merits of the build are really a moot point because this is what the CUSTOMER ASKED FOR!!! If someone comes to me at my car dealership and wants to buy a particular car, I can try to advise them a different way but in the end the person who is paying the money is the person who is deciding what they want. I am all in for seeing what this car will do and is capable of. I have tons of confidence in the MSPi team and Turbo Dave, there is no doubt whatsoever that this car will be quite impressive once all is said and done. Carry on with the taunts/insults/bullshit that all of a sudden seem so prevalent in this thread. I for one am glad to associate with a shop who wants to do things a little differently and is venturing into uncharted territory. Good luck to all involved.

Not everyone posts their numbers? Hooray. I'm happy for them. That shop will have the highest horsepower, stock motor LS6 and never get any business because no one knows about it.

You post one dyno and think it is the "end" to all? Come on now. A chassis dyno is just a tuning tool (and a dynojet on top of that)

BTW, comparing a stock motor to a modded motor is silly for what we are saying. Keep reading
