238 compression
just got a quick question. is this normal for a ls block w/ 84mm je flat top
9:1 piston to have 238 compression on a stock gsr head that has been milled .001. I was expecting somthing like 195 or 200. any intelligent answer is appreciated. The 238 compression seemed a little too high. The piston was and did look like 9:1.

yeah, you are right. Benson did a great job! That's after breaking it in with ACCEL ND SAE 30 oil. Vacuum on it was 23. Motor has 241 miles on it. The rings looked to be seated as well. First 35 miles on it was pure accelerating and decelerating. I might quick throttle response. With lugging. Putting load onto it. The rest was normal driving with occassional smooth acceleration to 7k rpm. The motor runs really well. I will change oil to stock honda 10w30 unitl 750 miles or so then go dyno my car. Everyone thanks for the info. just want to see if anyone had experience with high comp. numbers.
