i have a turbo kit with a 45/48 trim ( i think, its small) t3 but has a 10psi spring in a tial wastegate. im pretty sure it would be too much for the stock internals to handle correct? should i change it out to 5psi spring?

 

turbo is small, should be fine.

psi doesnt mean anything, stock bottom end can handle 300whp safely.

 

That turbo will die out just when your B16 starts to make power. I would seriously consider going with a bigger turbo.

45/48 trim? Wth man?? haha.. jp, it's a good idea to play it safe in the beginning.

like bbka said, the turbo will most likely die before the motor (assuming you have a good tune!) so get a 50+ trim.
