Default 18g is going crazy

I'm running 14 psi on my teg using an 18g. For the past 3 months it has held no problem. Just in the past few days it began overboosting. I'm using the same mbc, and everything is the same, so why all of a sudden would this happen. I checked all connections and they are ok.

Cracked Vacuum line somewhere? Does it overboost all the time?

If I use the same line and splice it straight through without the mbc the boost comes on fine.

sounds like your mbc is craping out.

I have a turbosmart mbc and it's always been right on. What parts could fail?

maybe the internal spring perhaps

remove the MBC and see if you get consistant (altho less) boost pressure.

The mbc I'm using is the turbosmart gated valve and it does not have a spring. Can the actuator on the turbo get lazy over time?

not sure, but i'd remove the MBC just the same to avoid blowing your motor

try a different vacuum source and make sure to recalibrate your mbc
