14b fitment issue
Ok test fitting everything for the turbo install and I've ran into a prob.
The pipe coming fron the compressor side of my turbo is hitting my power steering pump, I dont want to flip the turbo around on the manifold becuase it will be near impossible to run a downpipe, SOOOO I'm out of ideas here anyone have any ideas?

well you need to rotate the center section. I dont think your oil is going to drain very well at that angle. The should fix the problem

Definately that, and you can live without power steering if it comes down to a decision between boost and PS.

you should be able to just clock the entire center section and have the oil feed pointing in any direction you want...then just rotate(towards the block) the compressor side down
kudos,
yeah you cant really rotate the housing on the 14b anyways,
cuz then the wastegate arm wouldnt line up.
make sure you take off all the power steering parts,
save weight and get that belt off your engine(it does rob it ofa bit of power)
by the way, what kind of hose is that and whered you get it?

yup same here...
but nice solution to the prob...I need my PS though I'm a weakling

if you ran a carbspring style boost controller, instead of wagegate, you wouldnt need the arm at all,
then you might actually be able to rotate the housing.
you'd need to file down the little notch that lines it up though.

you still should rotate the CHRA. Also, both housings freely rotate individually of each other section, you just have to take out or grind down the alignment tabs. You can surely make it fit and keep your PS, you just have to make a custom mount for the wategate actuator, which is worth the extra fabrication IMO
You can either clock the cold side housing and find a new way to attach the internal wastegate actuator (tack weld or the like) or you can cut and rotate your j-pipe and do some wack **** like this:
