Default 14B coolant lines???

Hey guys, i went out yesterday to watch some ice racing... COOOLLL, looks like a blast, so i decided im going to build a very very low budget ice racer. Any ways, its gunna be sohc D, and ive already got a 14b attached to a std mani with adapter plate. Does a guy have to hook up the water lines to the turbo, or can you just run it with the oil lines?? Ive seen pics where there is no water lines hooked up but i didnt know if people actually run them (or if you can?) like that or if it was just a mid-fab pic??

I can honestly say i've never seen anyone ever hook up coolant lines to a 14b. Hell, the coolant lines cost as much as the turbo. They were put in place from the factory to increase longevity, but aren't really necessary if you're just using this as an ice-racer or whatever.

Ya, well i do have a full fledge drag car, but i thought that for in winter it would be a blast to drive around a turbo POS on an ice track with crazy studded tires.....

I cut a line in a half under my throttle body. I used the original hard lines from the 14b. And connect them with waterlines to the lines from the TB.
