Default Water-cooled turbo woes..

I am getting sick and tired of lines cracking, pinholes, and leaks in general directly caused by running coolant lines to my turbo. I REALLY hate driving around wondering if I'm gonna get home before I run out of coolant and overheat.

What I wanna know is what can I get to put over the barbed fittings on the turbo once I take the lines off and not use the watercooling anymore. I assume its a bad idea just to leave them open without any kind of "plug" but what is gonna fit on a barbed fitting that will withstand the heat?

just disconnect the water lines, they aren't required for cooling.

well i just tore off the lines and connected them back the way they should be. gonna go drive around now to make sure there is no leaks.

I was using proper sized coolant lines, but it has just become WAY too much of a hastle these days.......

Well so far so good, no leaks. To understand WHY I've been having this problem, I've removed and re-installed my turbo twice so its most likely some kind of error on my part. I am not against using the water-cooled system if its availible in a turbo, its just that I've been having WAY too many problems lately and can't afford the time to fix it and deal with the leaks. Its just better this way for me.

to reiterate, the coolatn lines are not necessary for regular turbo function, but i do recommend extending the turbo cool down time. at least 5 minutes if you have done a hard run.
